Don't be fooled by the title ladies, there won't be a feminist rant here! This is just another outfit that I've worn a lot at home, and whilst I was away on the cruise, there was the addition of a petticoat, or underskirt for more modern terminology! Before purchasing, I thought twice as I didn't think I'd get much wear out of it, but I'm so glad I did, as it instantly adds that authentic, 1950's glamour I've been after with my midi skirts and dresses! My Bardot crop and gingham midi combo transforms from everyday to formal with the underskirt and I love it!

After a momentary panic seeing the frizz I'd created by brushing my poodle-like rag curls out from the night before, I saved my 'do with heated rollers and the result turned out A-OK! If I could somehow of tamed the ends of my hair once I'd brushed it, I would of been happy as it was very Rita Hayworth-esque! Although, practice makes perfect! With MAC Lady Danger on my lips this monochrome outfit was good to go!

This love of yellow has only been recent (since my birthday dress) and now I can't seem to get enough of it! Hence the third blog post in a row featuring the sunshine hues! I love the pale. pastel yellow, it's such a delicate colour and lightens up any outfit!

This was only a quick outfit that I put together last minute, but the love I have for these high-waist, thigh hugging lovelies is like no other! They may be the 3rd edition due to wear and tear (I also live and die in them!) but they are the only pair of jeans I feel comfortable enough in, to embrace those curvy, thick thighs that I have so kindly been blessed with!

Well Hello Yellow! Another unexpected absence from me, I can't seem to get into the rhythm of this blogging malarky, even after four and half years! I've been pretty busy since my birthday, and a very exciting thing happened - I WENT TO NORWAY! (There's a few pictures on my Instagram hereFrom feeling like Royalty on the ship, to then seeing a Humpback Whale and walking up to a Glacier in Olden - It was the most amazing experience I've ever had, completely out of this world beautiful!

As I was on a cruise, I had plenty of formal evenings to attend. I made a conscious effort to keep my 1950s influences within my style, whilst looking glamourous but still suitably different (I also got quite a lot of compliments!) This is one of those outfits which I couldn't wait to wear again once I was home!

These pictures don't do justice how this dress looks and makes me feel, as it fits like a glove! It took me some getting used to, to pose in front of a camera again, but it nice to be back! Expect more yellow and more outfits from my trip that are dying to be worn again!
