HOME

I have been home for a week now but I've been very busy. I was lucky enough to help make curtains for an Interior Design company; Oyster Grey. Although it has been nice to have a lie in, I look forward to more work experience next week!

I try to appreciate what I love about home and walking to the mere is a love of mine. The mere has appeared plenty of times on this blog at different points of the year and I never get bored of it, even if you do! The end of march and dare I say strange snow has melted now but there is still a cold chill in the air, so it was a wintry walk today. Another good thing about being home is about the forgotten pieces of clothing in my wardrobe that never made it to uni! This vintage dress, previously seen here, has been hiding in my wardrobe for some time now! I feel slightly Victorian-in-mourning wearing it, paired with my Corin Dr. Marten's I felt rather lady-like swishing around in the mid-length dress!

Here's to the best fed ducks in the world!

HOPKINSON VINTAGE, ANTIQUES & ARTS CENTRE

I hope you are ready for a very picture heavy post full of extra lovely things! Today was my last day at uni for Easter and as Craig and I set off home tomorrow, we wanted to spend a little time in Nottingham exploring. We visited Hopkinson Vintage, Antiques & Arts Centre, which is opposite Nottingham train station, if you ever visit. There are two stories full to the brim of amazing treasures and antiques, anything from tea sets to old keys, old coins and wartime toys.
It also has a lovely little café at the front of the building, where we enjoyed tea for two and a slice of gorgeous lemon drizzle cake.
Dress and Blouse - F&F at Tesco, Pleather Jacket - Primark, Cardigan - H&M, Mary Jane Shoes - Dr Martens

On the second floor, there is also a lovely side room called The Classroom Gallery, where you can find out more information here. We shamelessly took a few snaps of my outfit whilst we were in there. I love the mustard and exposed brick walls and the wooden flooring! The exhibition that is taking place at the moment is the work of Ola Volo which I really enjoyed. So, If you are ever in Nottingham, you must come here! You can get lost for hours just rummaging through everything!

A TRIP TO SHEFFIELD

Winter Gardens, The Giant Greenhouse.
Breton top - Peacocks, Dress - H&M
Pleather Jacket - Primark, Shoes - Dr Martens.
Hello! I am still alive I promise! I've been pretty busy as usual. It's always the same old reason. I wish I blogged more, but I only really have things to talk about when I go on adventures with Craig when he comes to visit, I am always so tired or bogged out with uni work. Alas! I have pretty much finished for Easter now and yesterday evening, Craig and I jumped on the train to Sheffield to see Gabrielle Aplin which was an amazing experience as it was such a beautiful gig and her support acts, Andreas Moe and Hannah Grace were so, so good! We are back in rainy Nottingham now after a really lovely day roaming and exploring Sheffield.

TREASURES FROM LADYBIRD LIKES

The collar tips can be seen worn here.

Last week I received a lovely parcel from Ladybird Likes; an online store that sells beautiful handmade jewellery, brooches, and other darling little treasures! I had been rummaging through the store, relishing at everything in sight and finally decided to purchase the red heart collar tips, the typewriter letter necklace, and the musical note tags. I wore the collar tips on Valentine's Day as they came just in time, and can be seen worn on my instagram, linked above!

What was even more wonderful was that Ladybird Likes was celebrating their one year birthday and were giving away goodie bags with every purchase that was over a certain amount! I was one of the lucky ones and received more than I could ever of expected! Everything is perfect; the packaging, the products, the personal touches, and the general aesthetic is just lovely.

So, Thank you Ladybird Likes, you have made me a very happy girly!

WOLLATON PARK

(dress - vintage, bag - Accessorize, brogues - H&M, coat - Urban Outfitters)
"Welcome to my new home!"

I apologise for the long blogging absence, I've been busy and feeling low recently, which seems to be the norm as of late. Craig has visited this week for Valentine's Day which was so lovely and very special as it was our first! However, saying that, every day feels like Valentine's Day when I am with him (apologies for the soppy PDA!)

Anyway, today's adventure has been to Wollaton Park. A magnificent Elizabethan mansion with a Natural History museum and Deer (!!!) park. It was a beautiful day with sunshine and fresh air. We walked the grounds and I was lucky enough to see not one Deer, but a entire herd right up close! They roamed freely and they are by far the most majestic animal I've ever come across, and if you know me and my blog by now, you will know that Deer are my favourite animal!
